What will the apprentice be doing on site

This role is part funded by the European Social Fund.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Work in schools, sixth forms and colleges to identify individuals that wish to pursue an apprenticeship in Construction or a related occupation.

Support these young people to apply for relevant roles when they finish education and help them to understand “what its like to be an apprentice”

After initial training, conduct apprenticeship application support sessions per year to support young people’s progression.

Work with Kier to learn what the administration role in a Construction company entails and use this information to inform others.

Complete all necessary paperwork. Keep accurate activity records for timesheet recording. Keep accurate records of any meetings/presentations/mentoring sessions/application support sessions etc.

Monitor and report on project outcomes. Produce case study material. Support marketing activities.

Create biographies of young people to use to market their services to employers.

Produce a quarterly Social Value Report for Kier, detailing the achievements of the Apprenticeships New Anglia Project and how it is supporting young people to access Construction as a career through Apprenticeships.

Match suitable young people with identified apprenticeships and jobs with training provided by the supply chain and other businesses.

Develop your knowledge and understanding of the range of different career opportunities in the construction sector.

Support the delivery of all aspects of the TrAC and Apprenticeships New Anglia Service at all times to ensure an even distribution of work. This could include being asked to carry out tasks required by the project that are not covered elsewhere in the job description.

Ensure that the workplace is kept clean, tidy and sanitised. Portray a positive image of Moore Networking, Apprenticeships New Anglia and TrAC at all times.

Ensure the accurate recording of data, information and notes is maintained in a timely manner across all MNL and TrAC systems.
